above the swinging bridge is a little waterfall area that we like to hike up to. we found it when i was young and the tweens and teenagers used to hike up there all the time when i was young. my mom finally came up with us this year and couldn't believe that she let us hike up there alone all the time. i think that it was a perfect place to go.
the waterfall was randy's favorite place at yosemite. he hiked up there three times with three different groups. it was really fun for me to share it with him because it is one of my favorite places in the world. fun for me to have him love it so much, too. as with most of our water experiences at half dome, the waterfall involves a lot of jumping off of big rocks into the water or into the waterfall itself. very fun. if i were cool, the next photos would be in some sort of collage.
but i'm not.
randy was enamored with this rock and brought it home with us. he never keeps anything like that, so i went with it. not sure what the attachment was, but now we have a yosemite keepsake.
