november in pictures

we played lots of yahtzee in november. such a great game for kids math skills, plus, it's fun for me.

this is at our local library. jonathan loves this dragon.

jonathan is obsessed with trucks and for a few weeks in november, constantly had his crib lined with them.

my mom came to visit in november! it was so fun having her here.

he called this his train:

hiding:

this is a bad picture, but he was obsessed with this library book all month and carried it with him everywhere he went. this was on the way to pick madeleine up from school:

for thanksgiving, we headed down to portland to visit my cousin, lucy, and her family. our girls spent the entire time playing dress-ups with lucy's daughters and loved every minute of it. i loved talking with lucy and brian the whole time. it was a win-win situation.

they also loved taking a bath at lucy's house.

and finally, christmas pillowcases from g'ma and pa'a:

october in pictures

my toothless girl.

this boy...

these are the "school pictures" that i took for madeleine this year. i was a little later getting to them than i wanted, but beginning of october isn't too bad.

jonathan wanted some, too:

and some sibling shots:

 randy turned 31:

madeleine dressed up like this and had me take a picture:

then she took off her mask and said, "take another picture, so they know who it is underneath."

this is what walks to school look like. both kids out of the stroller and me feeling a little silly pushing an empty stroller. but they always ride in it on the way home because it is uphill and they get tired.

halloween costumes from this year (familiar from previous years? i love getting to reuse costumes):

candy corn diane:

madeleine was izzy from jake and the neverland pirates:

and jonathan was the boy who refused to put on a costume and wanted to play peek-a-boo instead of getting his picture taken:

lest you think i was so creative as to carve a pumpkin to hold candy for trick-or-treaters, this was my neighbor's house.

i love little baby bums.

this was jonathan hiding from me. one of those "if i can't see you, you can't see me," things.
