randy graduates!*

randy graduated this weekend with a bachelors of music in piano performance. his parents came into town for all of the events and my family came to support him, too. i was too tired to organize all of the photos in order, so what follows is a little jumbled, but a lot of pictures from the weekend. congratulations randy! i am very proud of you. onward and up to the masters of music program in the fall.

my sister, beth, also graduated with a bachelors of science in mathematics. we are proud of her, too, and it was fun to share the celebration with her.

madeleine, austin, and matthew were amazingly patient during the commencement and convocation ceremonies. austin and matthew sat through beth's before coming to randy's and were still little angels.

*other candidates for post title included, "congraduations!" and "randy has a b.m.!"

diane and madeleine

here are some current shots of the girls. and a few comparisons of diane and madeleine at the same age.

diane.

madeleine.

i didn't intend for diane to be camouflaged in these pictures. can you find her?

we found madeleine sleeping like this the other night - feet on the floor, torso on her bed. it did not look comfortable.

tulip festival

before bob and jeanie headed back to boise after graduation weekend (graduation post soon to come, must collect photos from various sources first), we went to the tulip festival at thanksgiving point this morning. my mom also joined us. have i mentioned how fun it is to have in-laws that get along so well with my parents?

the gardens were beautiful and it was perfect weather for walking through them. a thankful respite from the cold weather we had the rest of the weekend. madeleine enjoyed running all around and we were less thrilled about chasing her all around, but still had a good time. and now, a whole bunch of pictures (warning, some are blurry)...
