randy and i had a great date night last week. we started by going to maestro's, a local gelato shop, and getting some delicious gelato. although overpriced, it was really good. they serve the scoops of gelato to you in these neon little square plastic cups with matching neon little plastic spoons. i got the pink grapefruit and it was amazing. plus, don't you love their presentation?
after the gelato, we watched 12 angry men. i think that i saw this a long time ago, but i really couldn't remember much about it. such a good movie. maybe i'm biased because i love the legal aspects of it, but i think that it's an objectively good movie. the way that they unfold the entire trial from the perspective of the jurors is really impressive (only three minutes of the film were shot outside the jury room, and most of those consist of dramatic vertical pans of the outside of the courthouse). classic.
