this actually happened a couple of weeks ago, but i've been meaning to post about it for a while.
i was watching the t.v. a couple weeks ago and during the commercials, a news teaser came on. it was highly dramatic and said something like, "see how this man, convicted of several d.u.i.s, gets out of jail on a technicality." it showed a shot of a guy and i instantly recognized him because he was the defendant in a jury trial that i had just covered. curious to see what this technicality was, i did a little research myself and found out what this shocking technicality was: he had posted bail.
last time i checked, bail is not a "technicality." just goes to show you can't always trust what you see on the news.
