with all of my countdown to christmas posts, regular posting kind of got pushed to the side. here are some of the extra pictures from the last month plus a little.
madeleine got this superhero mask at preschool for the letter "s" and diane wanted her own, so i made her one too. they ran around the house for about a week with masks and blanket capes on, looking very cute.
he's just always cute, cape or no cape.
some attempts at sibling shots.
we woke up to a light dusting of snow one morning. i was hoping it would melt before randy looked outside because one of the big draws of the northwest for him is that it doesn't snow much. he did see it, but fortunately, it melted pretty quickly and without making the streets a giant ice-skating rink.
the girls wanted to go out and play in it and were hoping to make a snowman. not quite. they played for about ten minutes and then called it a day. they were happy while it lasted though.
my girls love the idea of hot chocolate, but don't actually like hot chocolate. so, after coming in from playing in the snow, they begged for hot chocolate and i made them each about two ounces. they didn't even drink all of that.
jonathan did pretty well with the tree this year. in fact, he left the tree itself alone entirely. he did like to climb up on the presents though, and kept untying the bow on madeleine's birthday present from randy's parents, which caused much distress.
these are of the girls opening christmas jammies from my parents.
this is blurry, but it is the scrunchy face that jonathan wears most of the time. whenever he is happy, his whole face scrunches up.
these are out of order because these are now my pictures from my phone, but these are more pictures from throughout the month.
diane loves to leave the lids off of markers and jonathan loves to pick things up and put them in his mouth. i was actually standing there and watching as it happened, but jonathan is fast and picked it up as diane put it down. he's mad because i took it away. good thing crayola is non-toxic.
my thanksgiving indian and gangster pilgrim.
now, it looks like i let the marker incident happen again, but this was actually colored pencil on his face. we have art problems at our house.
this is the first time that jonathan stood up in his crib. i heard him fussing and went into check on him and he was standing there, terrified because he couldn't get down. so i took a picture, of course.
this boy pulls himself up on everything and is cruising all over our furniture. he'll be walking before i know it.
this is what mornings look like at our house.
these are from our ward christmas party a few saturdays ago. madeleine was a star in the nativity (second star to the right) and the nursery kids went up and sang jingle bells. diane (who loves jingle bells, by the way) stood up there with a scowl on her face the whole time.
morning attire for diane. she hates pants.
madeleine hates winter clothes and has found a way to get around the fact that i put away all of her shorts.
gotta love the pose.
these next few are the faces of a hungry boy. i wasn't getting his food fast enough for him and he was mad at me. he is an insatiable eater and loves solids, which i do not.
he doesn't like sitting in the bumbo, so sometimes we use it like this. not exactly as intended, but it works.
