boise!

we went up to boise for a long weekend last weekend and had a great time with randy's family. as soon as we got there, jeanie brought out some punch balloons for the kids and madeleine went nuts:

after that, the kids wasted no time getting into the dress-up costumes and madeleine was quickly fitted in this fabulous get-up:

i think that madeleine's favorite part of the whole trip was the blow-up pool that jeanie got for the backyard. the kids had a blast playing in it throughout the weekend. she started out with her hat, innertube, and bathing suit...

but she has a hard time seeing with the hat on...

so that was off soon.

the innertube eventually came off, too (it was her request to put it on in the first place). she had such a fun time, but by the end of the time in the pool, she was shaking violently whenever she got in the water and her lips were turning blue. this is her finally begging to get out:

unfortunately, we finally had to head home to face reality. madeleine did pretty well on the ride home.
