olympic fever

okay, i promise that i will finish posting about our trip to california soon, but i am really caught up in a productive sweep right now and it's not on the top of the priority list. i have so many things that i've been putting off until now that it's somewhat overwhelming. but mostly it just feels good to be ticking things off the ol' to-do list.

back to the intended subject of this post though... the olympics. i don't usually get that caught up in the olympics, and i still am not watching them consistently this year (although i do tune in for about an hour or two every other day or so), but i DID watch the opening ceremonies and i WAS blown away. amazing. intensely beautiful. i wish i had a fraction of his artistic vision.

if you didn't get a chance to see the opening ceremonies, i suggest that you find a way. at least take a look at these pictures, found via oh happy day, one of my favorite blogs to visit for inspiration.

also, i just have to comment on swimming. above all other olympic events, swimming has always captured my attention and this year it continues to be awesome to watch. people are breaking records left and right and michael phelps is blowing my mind. tune in.
