if your family hasn't been ranting and raving about five guys burgers and fries lately, then you are obviously not a member of my family. they recently opened a five guys burgers in sandy and my dad absolutely loves it. randy had a music teacher's conference right by five guys today, so we went and had lunch there to try it out. my dad was right. it was great.
the burger i got was one of the best burgers i've had (mom, you're right, king charley's still takes the cake), especially for a fast food joint. and the fries were probably the second best fries i've had (once again, i think king charley's wins out, but it may be a bit unfair, seeing as their fries are laced with nostalgia). randy says they're the best he's ever had. we'll definitely be returning.
my only complaint? the music was too loud. i'm such an old lady.

well, king charlie's changed their fries. now they are the weird crinkly ones (not curly--crinkly). not as good, and kind of a disappointment. so i'm sure that the fries are better at 5 guys now. i'll have to give the place a try!
