last night, diane was playing in the grass and being cute, so i ran to grab my camera. as i took the pictures, i remembered taking similar pictures of madeleine around this age with her playing in the grass and wearing the same outfit. sure enough...

i actually think that the older diane gets, the less she looks like madeleine. but there is still some resemblance. especially when you diane wears madeleine's hand-me-downs and is playing in the same positions madeleine was playing in.

they are definitely their own little people though and the older diane gets, the more her individual personality shines through. not that we haven't been noticing it since day one, but it's become more pronounced. i can't wait to see what these two have in store for us over the years.

You are right - they look less alike as they get older. I hardly recognize Diane anymore. She is changing so fast. Good thing I will be seeing her later this week!
